USDS is a USD-pegged stablecoin in the Sky ecosystem, upgradeable from DAI or USDC at a 1:1 ratio. It is used for earning yield through the Sky Savings Rate, accumulating Sky Token Rewards, and as collateral across DeFi protocols on multiple blockchains. Unlike DAI, holders can deposit USDS into the Sky Savings Rate module to receive sUSDS tokens that automatically accumulate value over time, while simultaneously earning SKY governance token rewards through a dual-reward mechanism that operates without lockups or minimum deposits.
