CFG is the governance token of Centrifuge. It is used to vote on proposals, including runtime upgrades and strategic initiatives, with voting power proportional to a holder's CFG stake. The token migrated from the legacy Centrifuge Chain to Ethereum as an ERC-20 token in 2025, consolidating the original CFG and Wrapped CFG into a single EVM-compatible token to support the protocol's multichain expansion across Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, and other networks.
