It is minted by users who supply collateral to Aave, allowing them to continue earning interest on their underlying assets while borrowing GHO. Unlike traditional stablecoins, all interest payments flow directly to the Aave DAO treasury rather than to asset suppliers, and the oracle price for GHO is fixed.
