CryptoBoost founder claims the Bitcoin bear market has lasted 396 days

The founder of CryptoBoost stated that the current bear market for BTC began on October 6, 2025, at a historical high, and has lasted for 396 days as of the time of the statement, slightly exceeding the average of 391 days required for bear markets to bottom out since 2014. In terms of historical drawdown, the maximum decline during the 2014 bear market was about 86%, approximately 84% in 2018, and about 77% in 2022, while the current drawdown is around 53%, relatively mild.

He mentioned that with the increase in institutional participants such as spot ETFs, enterprises, and funds, the market's position structure may become more stable, thereby reducing the extent of declines. BTC whales have been continuously accumulating since July. However, reaching the historical average duration does not mean the bear market has ended; BTC still needs to regain and maintain above the range of $80,000 to $82,000 to further confirm market trends. He also noted recent market changes, including the decline in U.S. tech stocks and the semiconductor sector, the shift of funds towards bank stocks, as well as the rise of the Dow Jones and the drop in oil prices after the U.S. midterm elections, suggesting that the current flow of funds on Wall Street is unclear, and BTC may be at the tail end of the bear market cycle.
