EMCD launches open-source component Pool Worker compatible with Tether MDK, enabling miners to monitor overall operations in a single view

Hong Kong, October 30, 2026 — Global top-tier Bitcoin mining pool EMCD has launched EMCD Pool Worker, an open-source integration that connects EMCD Mining Pool to Tether’s Mining Development Kit (MDK). Miners and mine operators running infrastructure based on MDK can now feed their EMCD pool data into the same environment they use to monitor hardware and other systems. Pool Worker is now live, available globally, and free to use.

Most mines currently operate across multiple siloed systems: one for hardware monitoring, one for pool statistics, and another for infrastructure management. To get a full picture, operators must constantly switch between various dashboards, APIs, and monitoring tools. EMCD Pool Worker removes the mining pool from this list: EMCD data now flows directly into operators’ MDK environments using the same model as other MDK-compatible components.

MDK is Tether’s open-source framework designed to interconnect mining infrastructure and prepare it for AI-driven automation. On October 24, 2026, Tether announced that mine operators, ASIC miner manufacturers, and mining pools have committed to developing and maintaining MDK integrations. Tether aims to release the first stable version, MDK 1.0, by the end of 2026. EMCD Pool Worker marks EMCD’s first direct integration into the MDK ecosystem.

How It Works

Operators use their existing EMCD mining pool account to integrate EMCD Pool Worker into their MDK-based environment.

Pool Worker pulls operational data from EMCD, including hashrate, miner status, balance, and profitability metrics.

This data is displayed within the operator’s MDK environment alongside hardware and other MDK-compatible infrastructure.

Key Features

• Direct MDK integration for EMCD pool data. The pool no longer requires a separate monitoring environment.

• Unified infrastructure view. Pool-level data is consolidated with hardware and other mining systems in one place.

• Open source. Built on Tether’s open MDK framework, allowing technical teams to audit, deploy, and extend the code themselves.

• Standardized data access. EMCD data uses the same model as other MDK components, reducing integration effort.

• No additional fees. Aside from standard EMCD pool terms, there are no extra charges for this integration.

The typical user is a mining operation that mines via EMCD and manages its overall infrastructure through MDK-based systems. By integrating Pool Worker, operations can track EMCD hashrate, miner status, and profitability data alongside their miners in a single view, eliminating the need to monitor the pool separately.

"EMCD focuses on building technology that covers the entire mining lifecycle and providing operators with tools that truly drive efficiency," said EMCD CEO Michael Jerlis. "Many mines today operate like a cockpit with instruments from different vendors. Without a unified view, neither human operators nor AI agents can effectively optimize performance. Integrating with Tether’s MDK is a step toward changing this: operators can now seamlessly incorporate EMCD data directly into their existing infrastructure."

Launch and Access

EMCD Pool Worker is now live and available globally without geographic restrictions, requiring no additional setup beyond an existing EMCD pool account. Developers and operators can find the integration in the MDK repository on GitHub and consult setup instructions in the MDK documentation. Learn more about MDK at mdk.tether.io.
