Bitquery: Linked theft network drained approximately $4.06 million from 365 TRON wallets

on November 6, an investigation by Bitquery revealed that after tracking a reported iPhone wallet theft, researchers found that between October 5 and November 4, 43 collection addresses with financial ties to the same fee wallet transferred at least around $4.06 million in USDT from 365 TRON wallets.

Bitquery stated that it matched a reported theft with the amount and timing of on-chain transactions, and tracked other addresses using characteristics such as drained wallet balances. On-chain records cannot indicate which smartphone or wallet application each victim used, so it cannot be confirmed that all losses were caused by the iPhone vulnerability or DarkSword.
