OpenAI May Rename Data Centers as 'AI Compute Campuses'
On Nov. 2, according to TechCrunch, OpenAI is preparing a public relations campaign following the US midterm elections, considering renaming data centers to "AI compute campuses" to participate in future AI policy discussions.
OpenAI's Chief Global Affairs Officer Chris Lehane also discussed proposals to establish AI "speed limit" rules, help the public experience the benefits of AI in daily life, and push for US participation in setting global standards. He stated that discussions surrounding data centers are healthy, and communities should require companies to be accountable for these projects to ensure they truly benefit the local area.
