Staking ZKC to Receive Periodic AI Model Credits, Boundless to Launch Tokenized Inference Program

Odaily: Boundless Foundation has announced that its tokenized AI inference program will launch on January 2, 2027. Users who stake ZKC will periodically receive model usage credits on the Boundless AI platform, proportional to their staked amount relative to total network staking, for calling frontier open-weight models. The initial credit pool is approximately $1,000, distributed every two days; staked ZKC is not consumed and requires no migration or re-staking. ZKC will gradually transition to a fixed supply, halting new issuance, with AI usage credits replacing the existing staking and proof rewards. Boundless's ZK proof business will be suspended indefinitely starting November 5, 2026, ceasing acceptance of new proof requests and closing the proof reward claim channel on that date; the Explorer user interface will go offline on November 30, while staking functionality will remain accessible through a separate interface; the final staking reward cycle will end on January 1, 2027, after which ZKC issuance will stop once rewards are settled.
