TechFlow reported that on October 28, Coinbase responded to a "data breach incident" by stating that Coinbase itself did not experience a data breach. A third-party analytics provider, Amplitude, suffered a security incident that affected the contact information of a small number of Coinbase customers and the data of other Amplitude customers. Coinbase stated that there is currently no evidence of unauthorized access to its systems and that customer funds remain unaffected. The company is notifying affected customers and regulatory authorities in accordance with legal obligations.
