Airbnb plans to launch an AI travel assistant in the first half of 2027.
TechFlow reports that, according to TechCrunch, Airbnb plans to launch an AI travel assistant in the first half of 2027 to help users plan itineraries, compare accommodation options, and provide assistance throughout their trips.
Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky stated that the assistant will dynamically assemble travel interface components such as maps, photos, comparisons, calendars, and itineraries in real time based on user needs, rather than merely responding via text chat.
The company noted that the assistant will also help travelers modify reservations, resolve payment issues, and handle refunds, rebookings, and access round-the-clock security support. Going forward, the company anticipates its capabilities will expand to include services and experiences beyond accommodations.
