Trezor has increased the wallet password phrase limit to 128 characters

According to the official announcement from Trezor, the maximum length of the optional passphrase for its wallets has been increased from 50 characters to 128 characters. Users need to update their device firmware, as the old firmware still limits it to 50 characters.

Trezor stated that the passphrase is an optional secret information added beyond the wallet backup, with different phrases corresponding to independent wallets. The company cited a firmware flaw in some Coldcard devices from July, stating that strong and unique passphrases helped some affected users protect their assets and gained time to transfer funds.
