Akash Community Passes Governance Proposal to Migrate to Solana

on November 3, according to on-chain governance proposals for Akash, AKT stakers have approved Proposal No. 346, authorizing the migration of the Akash protocol from its independent Cosmos chain to the Solana mainnet.

The proposal also authorizes, upon completion of audits for the token and migration portal, the launch of an SPL version of AKT on Solana and the opening of a one-way migration portal for a two-year period. The proposal itself does not set a date for the compute marketplace switch, as the market migration still requires audits, migration drills, and a separate governance vote.
