Soneium Announces Plans to Build an On-Chain Entertainment Economy Using Tokenized IPs and Issue Ecosystem Token $SONEIUM
TechFlow reported on Oct 26, citing an announcement from the official Soneium blog, that Soneium will establish an on-chain entertainment economy centered on "Tokenized IP," and plans to issue its ecosystem-native token $SONEIUM to connect creators, IP holders, developers, fans, and investors. Currently, the Soneium ecosystem hosts over 250 applications spanning music, gaming, anime, film, collectibles, and other sectors.
Tokenized IP encompasses three formats: IP Tokens, IP Vaults, and Tokenized IP Bonds. Moriusa is the first IP Token launched, with its IP sourced from Tokyo entertainment group Super State Holdings. Soneium has also partnered with South Korean K-pop company DayOneDream, planning to bring the concert royalties of artists such as BTOB and LEE CHAE YEON onto the chain through Tokenized IP Bonds.
On the technical front, Soneium has constructed a three-layer architecture comprising the IP Registry, IP Graph, and IP Execution Layer, responsible for IP registration and rights verification, relationship mapping, and smart contract-based royalty and licensing revenue distribution, respectively, while supporting the ERC-8432 standard. Furthermore, Soneium plans to adjust the base gas fees to support sustainable network operations.
