Anthropic still plans to launch its IPO before Thanksgiving, with a valuation of up to $1.75 trillion, aiming to raise between $80 billion and $100 billion
According to the Financial Times, despite a significant sell-off in tech stocks, Anthropic still plans to push forward with its initial public offering (IPO) in the United States before Thanksgiving, expecting to raise between 80 billion and 100 billion dollars, with a target valuation range of 1.25 trillion to 1.75 trillion dollars, and the market's expected midpoint around 1.5 trillion dollars, lower than some investors' previous expectations of 2 trillion dollars.
Informed investors have indicated that Anthropic still hopes to go public as planned, even if it requires accepting a lower valuation. The company's revenue grew nearly 50% in the third quarter, reaching approximately 17 billion dollars, with the latest annualized revenue run rate (ARR) around 81 billion dollars, up from 65 billion dollars at the end of July.
Meanwhile, Anthropic plans to invest about 900 billion dollars in computing power and infrastructure over the next few years, with current cash and liquid investments nearing 150 billion dollars. JPMorgan is expected to hold a related briefing for potential investors on November 13.
