Rights holders of Elvis Presley and Eminem's works sue Suno

According to TechFlow, on November 9, The Verge reported that a group of rights holders for Elvis Presley's musical works and publishers for some of Eminem's hit tracks separately sued AI music company Suno, alleging it illegally generated music and lyrics mimicking these artists.

Lawyers for Presley's rights holders claimed that Suno violated Tennessee's ELVIS Act, which restricts AI cloning of singers' voices. A Suno spokesperson stated that the company prohibits unauthorized use of artists' works, does not allow specific artist or song names in prompts, and screens uploaded audio and lyrics through third parties.
