on Nov 03, according to Cointelegraph, Kraken has restricted accounts linked to the suspected theft of over $133 million in crypto assets from a specific EU entity and is cooperating with law enforcement in recovery efforts. Kraken stated that the incident did not originate from its platform, and neither its security systems nor customer accounts were breached.

Crypto.com stated it has taken measures to prevent the involved funds from being transferred through its platform and emphasized that user funds are secure and platform operations remain normal; OKX stated it is investigating the matter.

Previously, on-chain investigator ZachXBT discovered that the suspects made additional withdrawals totaling over $27 million from centralized exchanges, raising the suspected stolen amount from the previously reported $106 million to over $133 million. Blockchain analytics platform Bitquery found that the involved funds had been withdrawn from accounts associated with Kraken, Crypto.com, and OKX, with approximately $62.98 million in stablecoins converted into 27,553 ETH within about 4 hours.
