Reports say Apple is accelerating its Siri agent roadmap.

on November 9, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman told The Verge that Apple CEO John Ternus is requesting AI chief Craig Federighi to accelerate the Siri roadmap to develop an AI agent capable of competing with rivals.

The report indicates that iOS 27.3 will allow Siri to exert finer control over Apple's first-party apps, such as editing photos and organizing Safari tabs; third-party app integration may launch later this spring, at which point Siri could potentially order food or book restaurants on behalf of users.

Gurman noted that Apple wants Siri to go beyond executing one-off commands, continuously tracking goals and pushing tasks forward. He believes Siri could become more agent-like as early as next year.
