Amazon, Tesla, SpaceX and 3 Other Companies Oppose OKXICE's Tokenized Stock Plan, Objecting Firms Rise to 56
Amazon, Tesla, SpaceX, Netflix, SoFi Technologies, and Lam Research have joined the ranks of companies opposing OKXICE's tokenized stock trading plan. With the addition of these 6 companies, the number of disclosed objecting firms has risen to 56, up further from 50 last Friday.
According to statistics, of the 62 companies initially selected by OKXICE, 49 have already filed objections, accounting for approximately 79%; another 7 objecting firms were not on the original list. As of the public notice updated on November 2, 13 initially selected companies have still not disclosed any objections, including Apple, Strategy, Robinhood, Coinbase, Palantir, Circle, Securitize, and BitGo. Under SEC rules, companies may file objections within 30 days after receiving written notice from the trading platform, but the specific deadline depends on when each company received the notice. Andrew Cuomo, co-chair of OKXICE, said that some companies want to first observe how the tokenized stock market actually operates before deciding whether to participate. The platform has not yet announced a specific launch date or the number of stocks available for trading in the first batch. (CoinDesk)
