Cregis Partners with Remi Technology to Build a Global Compliant Digital Asset Infrastructure Network

Enterprise digital asset payment and custody infrastructure platform Cregis announced a partnership with Remi Technology to provide underlying security and infrastructure support for its digital asset network serving regulated financial institutions, enabling licensed entities such as banks, payment service providers, and currency exchange agencies to efficiently and compliantly conduct cross-border digital asset operations.

Remi Technology is a Singapore-based fintech infrastructure provider that has established a strategic partnership with Portuguese licensed bank Bison Bank, dedicating itself to building a digital asset network connecting regulated financial institutions. This network supports participating institutions in structured data exchange, transaction messaging, status tracking, reconciliation, and compliance coordination.

Within this collaborative framework, Bison Bank provides a regulated banking environment and institutional foundation, Remi handles network connectivity and settlement coordination between participating institutions, while Cregis delivers underlying digital asset security and management capabilities, providing technical support for each institution's business operations.

Cregis CEO Shawn Yan stated, “As digital assets enter regulated financial markets, the challenges faced by institutions no longer revolve solely around securely holding and transferring assets, but also encompass integrating these operations into existing authority management, risk control, and governance frameworks. Our collaboration with Remi is designed to make digital asset infrastructure better align with the practical operational requirements of financial institutions.”

In recent years, Bison Bank has continuously expanded its digital asset business, launching euro- and dollar-pegged electronic currency tokens EUB and USB in May 2026 to offer digital asset transfer and settlement services to approved institutional clients. This provides practical use cases for digital assets in regulated banking and forms part of the collaborative ecosystem between Remi and Bison Bank.

Remi CEO Sam Su remarked, “Cross-border digital asset settlement requires not only reliable technological connections but also a solid banking foundation and comprehensive security management. Our strategic partnership with Bison Bank provides the banking and institutional foundation, while Cregis delivers underlying digital asset security capabilities for participating institutions. The collaboration among the three parties will further drive the formation of a more interconnected and compliant institutional-grade digital asset ecosystem.”

As financial institutions continue to explore blockchain applications in payments, trade processing, and asset management, infrastructure connecting different institutions is receiving increasing attention. Estimates from McKinsey and Artemis indicate that the actual stablecoin payment volume reached approximately $390 billion in 2025, with B2B payments accounting for roughly $226 billion. As digital assets gradually enter real-world financial operations, institutional demands for custody, security, compliance, and data interoperability are rising, necessitating tighter integration between relevant infrastructure and existing financial systems.

Remi’s network supports functionalities including structured data interaction, customer identification and anti-money laundering (KYC/AML), transaction screening, the Travel Rule, and compliance monitoring. Cregis leverages technologies such as multi-party computation (MPC), hardware security modules (HSM), and trusted execution environments (TEE) to provide digital asset infrastructure encompassing wallets, payment and fund flow management, and institutional custody.

Over the past nine years, Cregis has supported over 4,000 enterprises across more than 50 countries and regions in building and operating digital asset businesses. In 2025, Cregis launched the Trust Vault solution, further expanding its institutional-grade custody and asset governance capabilities. The solution supports the secure storage, management, and payment of digital assets including stablecoins, helping enterprises enhance internal access control, risk management, and compliance governance while improving operational efficiency.

Shawn added, “For digital assets to achieve broader application within the financial system, we cannot rely solely on advancements by single institutions or isolated technologies. We also need infrastructure capable of supporting long-term collaboration among diverse institutions. Cregis will continue to build its capabilities around security, asset management, and institutional operations, working alongside partners like Remi to jointly advance the development of regulated digital asset businesses.”
