b14g: Approximately 97 million CORE tokens were unauthorizedly withdrawn, and related contracts have been suspended.
TechFlow reported that on November 1, according to an official announcement from b14g, approximately 97 million CORE tokens staked through the protocol were withdrawn without authorization and transferred to attacker-controlled addresses. The project team has paused the affected contract after discovering the incident.
b14g stated that tracking indicates approximately 68 million CORE remain on the Core chain, and exchange partners have frozen approximately 9 million CORE linked to the attacker. BTC staked through b14g remains time-locked on the Bitcoin network and was unaffected by this incident.
The project team is collaborating with the Core team, security partners, and exchanges to investigate and trace the funds, coordinate freezing and recovery operations, and plans to release an incident analysis report detailing the technical causes, impact, and subsequent arrangements for affected users.
