on November 2, according to CoinPost, SBI VC Trade announced that the lending balance of its Japanese yen stablecoin JPYSC (Kashi Coin) had surpassed 10 billion yen as of that date, while JPYSC's overall handling balance also exceeded 30 billion yen. Issued by SBI Shinsei Trust & Banking Co., Ltd., JPYSC is Japan's first trust-based Japanese yen stablecoin. Under the Act on Settlement of Funds, it is classified as an electronic payment instrument, with a legal nature distinct from crypto assets. Currently, lending applications are processed every Thursday, offering three plans: a 3% annualized rate for a 168-day term, 2.5% for an 84-day term, and 2% for a 28-day term. These conditions reflect data as of November 2 and may be adjusted based on funding conditions and market environment, or new fundraising may be paused. Loans cannot be terminated midway in principle and are not covered by the deposit insurance scheme.
