Zilliqa: Cross-chain bridge and proxy contracts compromised, CEO resigns
on October 28, Zilliqa stated that investigations into the recent security incident are ongoing. Affected systems include the ZRC2 proxy contracts used by X-Bridge and certain liquidity pools, involving tokens such as zUSDT, SEED, kUSD, and Zoge. Zilliqa emphasized that the native ZIL and Zilliqa EVM networks were not affected, X-Bridge will remain suspended, and users should refrain from using the cross-chain bridge and affected liquidity pools for now. The team is rotating all operational keys and cooperating with exchanges and law enforcement agencies. Additionally, Alexander Zahnd has voluntarily stepped down as CEO, with the board temporarily assuming direct oversight of operations until a new leader is appointed.
