Morgan Stanley: Global data center capacity may reach 316GW by 2030
According to a report by the Financial Associated Press, Morgan Stanley's research indicates that despite ongoing constraints on expansion due to power shortages, rising construction costs, and tightening financing, global data center capacity will continue to grow rapidly. The bank expects that global data center IT capacity will increase from approximately 136 GW by the end of 2026 to 316 GW by 2030, an increase of about 180 GW, with a compound annual growth rate of 23%.
