Ripple Receives Final U.S. OCC Approval to Establish National Trust Bank, Will Support RLUSD and Institutional Digital Asset Custody
TechFlow reported that on October 27, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced that the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has granted final approval to Ripple National Trust Bank’s application. This approval will provide Ripple with a business platform under the federal regulatory framework to support its USD stablecoin RLUSD and deliver digital asset custody services to corporate clients.
Garlinghouse noted that this move reflects the integration of the crypto industry with the traditional banking system, underscoring the importance of innovation, accountability, and federal regulation.
