BitGo adds Stacks Bitcoin staking to qualified custody
The cryptocurrency custody institution BitGo has added a Stacks Bitcoin staking feature to its qualified custody services. Eligible institutions are required to allocate 5% of their Bitcoin holdings in STX to participate in staking paired with BTC.
This staking form is a bond with a term of approximately six months, funded by Stacks miners. Stacks is a smart contract network built on Bitcoin. After the launch of this feature, institutional clients can complete related staking operations within BitGo's qualified custody framework.
