Loopscale Suspends Protocol Operations Due to Security Attack, Affected Vaults Fully Replenished
On November 5, Loopscale stated that it has been continuously targeted by sophisticated attackers over the past week, with its protocol API receiving over 30,000 malicious requests per day. After its security systems detected a significant escalation in the attack activity, the team suspended the protocol's operations to contain the impact. The attacks primarily targeted the SOL and USDC Genesis Vaults. The affected vaults have been replenished, and all user deposits suffered no losses.
Loopscale stated that the protocol will not resume normal operations until the full scope of the attack is determined and enhanced security measures are implemented. A return to the protocol interface is expected shortly, and efforts are underway to restore repayment functionality as soon as possible to minimize the risk of unintended liquidations. The team has collaborated with federal law enforcement agencies and security experts, and has disclosed four associated addresses.
