Nomura Securities stated that the South Korean KOSPI index is oversold

According to Jinshi News, the analyst team led by Cindy Park at Nomura Securities stated that the South Korean KOSPI index currently appears to be in an oversold state. In a research report, the analysts pointed out that global stock markets have been dragged down by rising interest rates, high oil prices, and other risk factors, with the decline in the South Korean stock market exceeding that of other major global markets.

Since August, the index has fallen by 18% and is currently hovering around 5400 points. Nomura Securities has set the target range for the South Korean KOSPI index over the next three months at 7500 to 8000 points to reflect macroeconomic and artificial intelligence-related risks, while maintaining the long-term target at 10000 points. The analysts also indicated that investments in artificial intelligence, the expansion of corporate buybacks, and market reform measures aimed at enhancing corporate value could all serve as catalysts for driving the South Korean stock market upward.
