French Senate Passes Ratification Bill for Multilateral Agreement on the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework

on October 30, that according to the official website of the French Senate, the French Senate adopted Bill No. 21 in first reading under an accelerated procedure on October 27, 2026, authorizing the ratification of two multilateral instruments concerning the automatic exchange of tax information: the Multilateral Agreement on Automatic Information Exchange between Competent Authorities regarding the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF), and the supplementary instrument to the Multilateral Agreement on Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information (CRS). Both instruments were signed on November 26, 2024, in Asunción, Paraguay. The complete text is provided in the Annex to Bill No. 921 (2025–2026).
