OpenAI CFO: Midterm Elections Did Not Significantly Change IPO Plans

on November 7, according to CNBC interview remarks, OpenAI Chief Financial Officer Sarah Friar stated that the company's prior indication to continue considering an IPO in 2027 has not been significantly altered by the results of the U.S. midterm elections.

Friar added that the management team must prepare for various scenarios; if the midterm elections lead to greater external scrutiny of data centers and surrounding communities, OpenAI will continue engaging with them to build trust. She further stated that the company will persist in its investments to satisfy AI customer demand.
