EEZ Launches Rollup X Testnet, Demonstrating Access to Ethereum Mainnet Liquidity

on November 6, according to The Defiant, the Ethereum Economic Zone (EEZ) launched the Rollup X devnet at Devcon in Mumbai, showcasing how Rollups and Ethereum mainnet contracts can call each other within a single transaction.

In a demonstration, users sign orders on Rollup X, the CoW Swap solver executes swaps using Ethereum mainnet liquidity, and the tokens return to Rollup X within the same transaction. Two additional demonstrations cover Safe account permissions and spending limits, as well as authorizing mainnet transfers after validating post-quantum signatures via the Rollup.

Rollup X currently certifies re-executed transaction batches through designated signers instead of using zero-knowledge validity proofs. The devnet operates on the Ethereum mainnet, and project developers state it is not yet suitable for depositing large assets, with the core protocol currently undergoing independent security audits.
