Sequoia Capital Restructuring: Closing London Office, Suspending Arc Accelerator

on November 4, Sequoia Capital (Sequoia) published a long-form post titled "The Sequoia of Tomorrow" on X, detailing a series of adjustments made over the past year following its generational transition.

Sequoia stated it will focus on high-conviction, highly curated venture investments, simplify the Sequoia Capital Fund structure, discontinue the Arc batch accelerator and Scouts programs, and streamline its operations and investment teams.

Sequoia will no longer differentiate between early and growth teams, merging them into one; it will also close its London office, with some staff departing, while future support for European founders will be provided from its San Francisco Bay Area headquarters.

Additionally, Sequoia noted it has flattened its partnership structure, eliminated the weekly Monday partner meeting cycle, and raised approximately $10 billion in new funds. Sequoia is currently co-owned and operated by seven general partners, who are bullish on sectors such as AI, space, biology, and reindustrialization.
