Meta slightly raises equity financing plan to $97.5 billion, with maximum financing potentially reaching $103 billion

on October 27, Meta Platforms (META.O) stated the company plans to raise funds through equity offerings to support investments in artificial intelligence, slightly increasing the financing target from $95 billion to $97.5 billion. On Tuesday, while announcing the pricing arrangements for the equity offering, Meta said it increased the common stock issuance size from $22.5 billion to $25 billion. According to the plan first announced on Monday, Meta also intends to issue approximately $12.5 billion in Series A depositary shares and raise up to $60 billion through an “at-the-market” program. The announcement released on Tuesday further revealed that Meta has granted underwriters for the common and depositary share offerings an option to purchase up to an additional $5.5 billion worth of stock; this means Meta’s total final financing could reach approximately $103 billion.
