Dunamu Proposes Protecting Virtual Asset Inheritance at South Korea National Assembly Legislative Expo
TechFlow reported on Nov. 5 that, according to Yonhap News Agency, Dunamu, the operator of the virtual asset exchange Upbit, will participate for two days starting November 5 in the "2026 National Assembly Legislative Expo" held at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul. Under the slogan "Securing the value of digital assets and safely passing them to the next generation," Dunamu proposed institutional improvements to protect inherited virtual assets that currently fall into regulatory blind spots. The core objective is to swiftly secure the virtual assets of the deceased and make them easily accessible to heirs. A Dunamu representative stated that virtual assets remain in a regulatory protection vacuum during inheritance proceedings, expressing hope that these policy recommendations will serve as an opportunity to establish a formal institutional foundation.
