RWS Completes Acquisition of Acolad, Expanding European and American Market Presence and Enterprise-Grade AI Service Capabilities

on November 2, according to a PR Newswire release, global AI solutions company RWS announced the official completion of its acquisition of Acogroup, the parent company of language and content service provider Acolad, following the completion of relevant labor consultation procedures and receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals. The transaction amount was not disclosed.

This acquisition will further expand RWS's business footprint across European and North American markets. Acolad's clients will gain access to RWS's AI technologies and platforms, including Language Weaver Pro, Trados, and Cultural Intelligence Layer, to drive intelligent automation across enterprise content processing, translation, and localization workflows. The two companies will also combine their specialized expertise in regulated industries such as interpreting, transcription, data services, and life sciences.
