Analysts: Microsoft's earnings report shows cloud computing capacity is sufficient to meet strong demand.

on October 29, analysts at Yorkville Ives wrote that Microsoft’s (MSFT.O) earnings report indicates the company can fully capitalize on the massive demand in the cloud computing market. The analysts noted that Microsoft Azure revenue exceeded Wall Street expectations, while the cloud computing business remains a key factor influencing Microsoft’s stock performance. Prior to the earnings release, the market had already clearly identified AI-driven demand, but uncertainties remained regarding whether Microsoft could scale its capacity quickly enough.

Analysts wrote that the earnings report shows, “capacity is already in place, and demand is filling it up.” Customers are locking in future expenditures, with Microsoft’s committed forward spending remaining at $677 billion. The analysts pointed out that compared to previous forecasts, revenue recognition from this portion over the next 12 months will increase. In Thursday premarket trading, Microsoft’s stock rose 2.7% against the broader trend, bucking the overall downturn in technology stocks. (Jinshi)
