U.S. stock market opens: S&P 500 index rises 0.19%, Nasdaq rises 0.28%

According to Gate Market, U.S. stocks opened flat, the Dow Jones Industrial Average opened flat, the S&P 500 index rose 0.19%, and the Nasdaq rose 0.28%.

Seagate Technology (STX.O) fell 3.8% as Morgan Stanley lowered its target price. Boston Scientific (BSX.N) fell 6.3% as the company lowered its annual profit forecast. Most storage and optical communication concept stocks rose, with SK Hynix (SKHY.O) up 8.6%, Micron Technology (MU.O) up 3.8%, and Corning (GLW.N) up 1.9%.
