NIP Group Purchases Third Batch of Bitcoin Mining Machines, Total Hash Rate Reaches 13.85 EH/s
on October 27, according to Decrypt, NIP Group, the parent company of the esports team Ninjas in Pyjamas, acquired its third batch of Bitcoin mining machines by issuing over 247 million shares of Class A common stock as consideration. Following the transaction, the company's total computing power will reach approximately 13.85 EH/s, with an expected monthly output of around 195 BTC, valued at roughly $2.8 million at current prices—an increase of 35 coins compared to the previous monthly target of 160. CEO Hicham Chahine stated that the company strategically expanded into mining during a market cooldown, confirming that the division has passed a comprehensive operational review focused on improving profit margins and achieving profitability. He also noted that if returns from AI and high-performance computing businesses continue to outperform mining, the company may redirect some capacity toward AI infrastructure.
