EU Energy Ministers' Meeting Focuses on Natural Gas Prices

The EU Energy Ministers' meeting was held on October 29, with natural gas prices becoming the focus. The European benchmark natural gas futures price broke through 100 euros per megawatt hour for the first time since December 2022. EU Commissioner Jørgensen warned that Europe is facing "another energy crisis," with over 50 million residents potentially unable to afford winter heating costs.

Energy costs are expected to increase by about 600 euros, with additional expenses reaching up to 715 euros. This crisis has expanded to include gasoline, diesel, and more, putting greater pressure on the economy.
