Israeli media: Israel is ready to join forces with the US to strike Iran
on Nov 2, citing Jin10, The Jerusalem Post said that if Trump requests the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to participate in US Air Force military operations against Iran after the Nov 3 US midterm elections, the Israeli military has already prepared for strikes, though significant uncertainties remain in the current environment.
The report notes that Trump had previously retracted his threats to attack Iran multiple times. Currently, the likelihood of an attack is rising again, driven by various sides attempting to secure Iranian concessions through alternative channels, as well as certain members of Trump's team shifting back toward supporting a military strike. Over the past week, more than 10 US military transport aircraft have arrived at Nevatim Air Base and Ovda Air Base in southern Israel, seemingly positioning for a major military operation.
Additionally, reports indicate that the US is transferring air defense systems and interceptor missiles to Israel and other Arab allies, though US force levels in the region remain below some previous deployment scales. The report also notes that the US and Israel still disagree on the specific objectives of such military operations.
