Kim Yo-jong Again Comments on Binance Hack: Views It as Extension of U.S. Hostile Policy

on November 4, according to Yonhap News Agency citing KCNA, Kim Yo-jong, Director of the General Affairs Department of the Workers' Party of Korea, made remarks regarding the Binance hack incident, marking her second statement on the matter within three days.

Kim Yo-jong stated that North Korea does not view the Binance hack incident as an isolated or chance occurrence, but rather as an extension of Washington's hostile policy toward the country, and that the United States seeks to exploit the incident for political gain.

She noted that while "dialogue is clearly among the options" for maintaining peace, it does not necessarily equate to national interests for North Korea; the country has no need to sit at the table with "untrustworthy, hostile individuals," hinting at possible strong countermeasures.

Previously, Kim Yo-jong made remarks on November 2, dismissing the accusations as a "political provocation by the United States" and "ridiculous rumors." U.S. President Trump had earlier stated that if North Korea was behind the hack, he would engage in communication with Pyongyang over the issue.
