Mercado Bitcoin Discloses Receiving Address Involved in Security Incident

on November 2, according to a Mercado Bitcoin announcement, the exchange disclosed receiving addresses linked to the prior security incident, covering Bitcoin, Ethereum-compatible networks, Solana, Stellar, and Tron, for asset identification and tracking purposes. The platform stated it is continuing to advance efforts to safely restore operations.

According to The Defiant, the disclosed Bitcoin address received approximately 106.07 BTC, while one Ethereum transaction transferred 2,852.07 ETH to the revealed Ethereum-compatible address. The aforementioned transfer amounts do not reflect the total loss from this incident. TechFlow previously reported that the exchange confirmed customer assets were unaffected and has suspended deposits and withdrawals.
