Trump: U.S. currently has no immediate plans to strike Iran

on November 4, citing Jinshi Data, the UK's Financial Times reported that Trump stated the United States currently has no immediate plans to strike Iran, downplaying speculation about preparing to escalate conflict with Iran following the midterm elections.

In an interview on Tuesday local time, Trump stated that he is satisfied with the current stalemate, but also noted that further action is on standby if necessary. Addressing Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's hints of a potential strike later this week, Trump said, "We are ready. If action is needed, we can strike at any moment, but it may ultimately prove unnecessary."

Trump claimed that energy prices will plunge following the midterm elections, pointing out that more oil is currently transiting the Strait of Hormuz than during the pre-war period, and that the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports is strangling Tehran's economy. He also affirmed he would not disclose any attack plans in advance, confirming that indirect negotiations with Iran over the nuclear issue remain ongoing.
