Hong Kong Exchanges: Extends After-Hours Trading Session for Derivatives

TechFlow reported on Nov 2 that the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing will extend the after-hours trading session for derivatives. Starting from March 2027, the closing time of the derivatives after-hours trading session will be extended from the current 3:00 a.m. to 4:15 a.m.; it will evaluate market developments following the extension to determine whether to further extend the closing time to 5:15 a.m. in November 2027. Under the new arrangement, the closing time for the after-hours trading session will be extended from 3:00 a.m. to 4:15 a.m., enabling market participants to flexibly manage risks in response to overseas market conditions outside of Hong Kong's daytime trading hours.
