THORChain: Users Return 10 ETH, Vault Regains Solvency

on November 2, according to an official THORChain announcement, users have returned 10 ETH erroneously paid out due to an Ethereum block reorganization, restoring solvency to the relevant vault.

THORChain stated that on October 31, Ethereum experienced a single-block reorganization where the block containing a 10 ETH deposit was discarded, but the protocol had already confirmed the deposit and issued a refund because the swap failed to meet the price limit. After an automated solvency check detected a shortfall, ETH swaps were suspended, and node operators subsequently halted ETH withdrawals and trading on other chains.

As of the publication of this announcement, trading on AVAX, BASE, RUNE, and XRPL has resumed, while networks such as ETH, BTC, and SOL remain suspended. Core developers are advancing the fix, and nodes will determine whether to reopen each network based on security conditions.
