US senators accuse X of giving Polymarket preferential treatment, questioning whether it provides an unfair competitive advantage

U.S. Senate Democrats have accused X of giving preferential treatment to prediction market Polymarket. In a joint letter, Nevada Democratic Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, California Democratic Senator Adam Schiff, Nevada Democratic Senator Jacky Rosen, and Connecticut Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal stated that when users report Polymarket ads through X's standard interface, they are unable to select a reason for the report, while other ads such as those from Kalshi do not have this problem.
