Recently, DaeShin Securities had the personal and credit information of 38,490 clients leaked; Bithumb has confirmed a leak of employee information and is still verifying whether member information was involved; Future Asset Management experienced a leak of information from some of its business systems, with no personal credit information breaches detected so far. Previously, 16 financial institutions, including KB Kookmin Bank, were also targeted by hackers, resulting in the exposure of approximately 100,000 items of personal information, including ID numbers, account numbers, and addresses. The police stated they will compare the attack methods of the new and old cases to verify any links, and do not rule out the possibility that the same attacker was responsible.
