Bittensor Launches Quantum-Resistant Wallet, Supporting Three Post-Quantum Signature Algorithms and Automatic Key Rotation

on November 6, OpenTensor Foundation announced on the X platform that Bittensor has launched a post-quantum wallet supporting three post-quantum signature algorithms: ML-DSA-65, Falcon-512, and Falcon-1024, among which ML-DSA-65 has been standardized by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

The new wallet supports automatic key rotation, automatically replacing the signing key after each transaction is recorded on-chain, rendering the old key invalid, while account addresses, balances, and staked assets remain unchanged. This feature applies to TAO transfers, staking, and validator weight configuration, and supports multi-sig and proxy accounts.

Existing wallets can still be used normally. Enabling automatic key rotation requires account registration and a one-time permanently locked deposit of 0.2 TAO; no registration or deposit is required if the feature is not enabled.
