MNT is the native token of Mantle Network, an Ethereum layer-2 blockchain. It is used for paying transaction fees and participating in governance votes that direct protocol upgrades and treasury decisions. MNT is also used for staking to help secure the network, with staked MNT contributing to the data availability layer that keeps transaction costs low.
